This past Sunday we had the privilege to share the Word and also the work of
Mission Mid-Atlantic with the congregation at
Calvary Baptist Church in
Reading, PA., while
Pastor Russ Weidel was away on vacation with his family. During our visit we met briefly with
Dr. Sam and Louise Scales. They have been involved in the leadership of the Conservative Baptist family for a long time.
One of the recent developments at
Calvary Baptist is the
Calvary Community Center. Through the center, the congregation is able to offer a variety of services to meet the needs of the surrounding community. The
Center Director is
John Schlegel, former missionary to
Spain.
