This picture of Scott and Braydon is not only cute, but very significant for us. Braydon represents the fourth generation of our family to spend time at Sandy Cove. His great grandparents, Bill and Marie Bateman, began attending events at Sandy Cove when it was first established as a conference ministry. Lou Ann and I met at Sandy Cove in 1973 while I worked on the summer staff and we spent many summers vacationing there as a family. Scott and Kerri grew up in the Club Cove ministry and Braydon also seemed to enjoy his first summer experience.
Scott and Shelly desire to see Braydon come to faith in Christ, and this picture is a wonderful reminder of how parents walk beside their children and nurture their faith.
Our churches are filled with young believers who need more mature men and women to walk beside them and disciple them in the faith.
What kinds of discipleship ministries have been effective in your church?
Let's pray that we will see many new believers come to faith in Christ and learn to walk in Him.
