MMBB: Ministers and Missionaries Benefits Board

Mission Mid-Atlantic pastors and churches will soon be receiving correspondence from Ken Stout, Regional Representative for MMBB (Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board). MMBB offers a variety of benefits packages for pastors. The Mission Mid-Atlantic Regional Board has granted approval for Ken to send our pastors and churches a package explaining ways they might offer their assistance with your benefit needs. In this post I am including a letter which will also be added to the package by way of introduction. Let us know if you have any questions.

Dear Mission Mid-Atlantic Pastor:

Mission Mid-Atlantic is a diverse fellowship of churches united by Biblical mission. As such, we regularly look for ways to encourage one another in that mission, and when we find a resource or program that may be helpful to our member churches, our desire is to let you know.

During 2009 I had the opportunity to meet Rev. Dr. Ken Stout who represents The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB). MMBB is a long-standing organization that provides benefit programs like life and health insurance, retirement plans and other services to churches and pastors. Their plans are tailored to meet individual needs and feature low contribution thresholds, making them useful even for very small churches that may not otherwise be able to provide such benefits for their pastors.

After reviewing MMBB’s offerings and business model, we are pleased to introduce them to you for your consideration. The packet attached to this letter is designed to give you an overview of MMBB’s plans and services, and you can learn more at www.MMBB.org.

I also commend Ken Stout to you as MMBB’s local representative. Having served for many years as a pastor himself, Ken “gets it” when it comes to working with churches and church boards and committees. I believe he can be a helpful resource for you.

I hope you find this information helpful and would welcome your comments and feedback. You can email them to me at jim@MissionMid-Atlantic.org or leave a comment on our blog at www.jameseleary.com.

Thanks so much for your partnership in the furtherance of the gospel!

Sincerely,

Jim

James E. Leary
Executive Director
