Is There A Good Way To Die?

We just learned that a friend died last October. He moved to Florida and Lou Ann and I had not been in contact with him for a couple years. We discovered that he had leukemia for two years and didn't tell his family until two weeks prior to his death. This is the second friend we lost recently under similar circumstances.

We have no right to judge how someone chooses to die. However, after learning about Tom's death, I am struggling with the following question. Is there a good way to die?

We have friends right now who are struggling with this question. And since I spend alot of time on the road, I realize that my life could end any moment at the hands of someone texting while driving or worse. I hope my death is quick and as painless as possible if that should happen.

If I were diagnosed with a terminal illness, I think I would want to spend as much time as possible with those I love, rejoicing in the good times, remembering God's goodness and laughing as much as possible.

I think that is a good way to die.

What do you think?
