Tuesday Evening Update

Braydon continues to slowly improve. He was awake when we arrived this evening, and his two grandmothers (Lou Ann and Cindy) and his Great-Grandmother (Granny) tried to get him to smile, but he isn't quite ready just yet. Although, Scott told us that they did get him to giggle today.

His chest tube continues to drain and we pray that this will help to clear up whatever has collected following the surgery. He also ate just a little bit today.

We rejoiced on our way home that Braydon is slowly healing and we were thankful. Thanks again for all your prayers.

On another note, we have not seen Andrew for two evenings. It is his daughter Sofia that we have been praying for. We are not sure what that means, but we will continue to look for him.

We met Melissa this evening while we were eating dinner in the lounge. Melissa is from State College, and her son Dylan was born at CHOP in October. He has been at CHOP since his birth, and he will not be able to go home until sometime in February, if his next surgery goes well. Dylan is only one of six children to be born at CHOP, and he holds this distinction because of his rare heart defect.

So, in addition to Braydon, we ask you to pray for Dylan and the many children like him who are being cared for at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).

  1. hey dad! just wanted to say good morning! thanks for updating on "Brayman"..I got to spend some time with Shelly last night "illegally" (actually the nurses called security so they would let me up to visit) at around midnight...Braydon was a little uncomfortable at the time because of gas pain..praying that resolved overnight. Shelly and I keep saying..it could be worse..which it could be..and we know that Braydon will be better when he leaves the hospital. Just pray for renewed strength from the little rest they are getting...
    love you dad..
    see you soon!
