Greetings!
I have two updates to share with our CB family today.
The first is news about our CB Youth Snow Camp last weekend. Here is a synopsis of an email about the camp that I received from Steve Warner, Assistant Pastor from Grace Baptist Church in York, PA:
We were at Montrose Bible Conference the last weekend of January with about 90 junior highers and adults. Jason George was our speaker at both camps and spoke on the subject of transformation using 2 Cor. 3:18 as his main text. On Saturday evening at Junior High Snow Camp, thirty-six junior highers and one adult leader accepted Jesus as Savior!
This past weekend, 115 senior highers and adults made it to Rock Mountain Bible Camp through snow and ice and God moved BIG once again as about thirty young people gave their hearts to the Savior on Saturday night!
It was an amazing winter, but then again, our God is an amazing God!
This is truly great news. In a day when we hear so much negative stuff about our culture, we need to throw our support behind those who sacifice so much of their time to work with our youth. This includes our youth pastors/leaders, their families and all the volunteers. We also need to love, pray for and encourage our youth. Pray also for these young people and the adult leader who came to Christ through our snow camps!
The second update involves Bill Holmes, our Urban/Ethnic Associate. Bill fell last weekend in the Poconos and broke his ankle. He will have surgery tomorrow (Thursday) to have a plate and two screws inserted to assist in the healing process. Please pray for Bill as he is experiencing excruciating pain.
Thanks for praying!
~ Jim
