Taking a Couple Days Off

The CBAmerica Summer Summit was time to network with other regions and receive training in church assessment. Those of us who attended from the Mid-Atlantic region will have a follow up conference call to debrief and discuss how to offer church assessments to our churches.

The summit ended on Friday and I visited with Lou Ann's cousin and her family in Lakewood, CO. Lou Ann flew into Denver on Saturday. I met her at the gate and we flew to Bozeman, MT, where Lou had an ANNA board meeting. While she attended her meetings, I had time to read, journal and take some great pictures of the Big Sky region. We return home Wednesday night and I will continue to blog later this week. In the meantime, here is one picture of Big Sky country!

Peacemaker Ministries Trip Review

I had a great time at the Peacemaker Ministries Focus Group last week. Three focus group panelists, including me, arrived a day early and several guys from the PM office who are great fly fishermen took time off from work to float down the Bighorn River with us. After a great day of fly fishing the Bighorn, we spent two days in the Focus Group. Peacemaker Ministries has a wonderful team that really desires to create resources to assist church leadership in the ministry of reconciliation. I left Montana with a deep sense of gratitude for their ministry and look forward to finding ways for Mission Mid-Atlantic to use their resources. By the way, here is a picture of the first of three fish I caught on the Bighorn!
