New Identity Statement

Last year the MACBA Board formed a work group to study the issue of our association's identity. The work group submitted their findings at the Board meeting in September 2007.

As we prepare for our Annual Conference in late April, I will blog the recommendations of their report and appreciate your feedback.

Our new identity report begins by answering the question, "Who are we?"

Answer: We are a diverse fellowship of churches united by biblical mission.

I believe this statement captures the essence of what we desire to become as a fellowship of churches. We are not moving from our core values as Conservative Baptists. Instead, this statement builds upon what we already are as a fellowship of churches. We are passionate about our biblical mission and this is what unites us. We also desire to reflect the diversity of our region which includes planting new churches among all racial and ethnic groups.

We will unveil our new identity at our Annual Conference at Sandy Cove. Visit http://www.macba.org/ and click on the link about the conference to learn more. Follow the prompts to register online and also download a flyer to help us get the word out about our upcoming meetings.
