National Day of Prayer

Natonal Day of Prayer will be held on May 1st. Dr. Stephen LeBar, CBAmerica General Director, has forwarded information regarding this special day provided by John Bornschein, Senior Director of National Day of Prayer (www.ndptf.org/).

"Here are some of the major marketing efforts you should be aware of:

• Webcast: For the first time...The National Day of Prayer event in Washington DC will be broadcast LIVE in it's entirety (12noon-3:00 p.m. EST)


• Radio: NDP will have a 2-day program on the Focus on the Family Daily with Dr. Ravi Zacharias. NDP will also be featured on Michael Reagan, Dr. Laura and Glenn Beck radio shows in April. Nearly 1500 radio stations nationally will be carrying over 70 unique spots throughout the month of April.


• Television: A 20-second commercial featuring Coach Tony Dungy (available on the NDP Web Site) will air across the nation in the month of April.


• Shirley Dobson will be a special guest on the Hour of Power prior to NDP. Dungy and Ravi video spots will be played during Andrew Womack's Gospel Truth TV show viewed by 1 million homes in iLife TV. Andrew's entire May 1st broadcast is dedicated to the National Day of Prayer.


• Vice Chairman Brian Toon was interviewed for two shows to be shown on Father Frank Pavone's Priests for Life TV shows on Sky Angel TV available to 13 million homes.


• Internet: The National Day of Prayer is now on Facebook, YouTube and GodTube. There are thousands engaging through these new channels.


• E-mail Blasts: Family Christian Stores, Newsmax, the American Family Association and Focus on the Family will be emailing over 7 million people!


• Stores: Family Christian Stores has partnered with the National Day of Prayer and will be distributing bookmarks at every store in April.


• Billboards: Through generous donations, we are attempting to place a billboard ad in every major city across America.


• YMCA's and the Salvation Army are also planning events around the nation.


• Events: NDP will, again, have an NDP NASCAR (#78) at the Talladega Aarons 499 on April 27th.


• Newspaper: Vice Chairman Brian Toon interviewed by Casper Star-Tribune; Wyoming's Largest newspaper with a daily circulation of 30, 745 and a Sunday circulation of 33, 264.


• Mail: Already 300,000 direct mail pieces have already gone out.


• Magazines: Focus on the Family magazine will carry a story on the National day of Prayer in April.
  

The initiatives above are only scratching the surface of what God has done to open the doors for NDP in 2008."
