Twitter Discussion about Intergenerational Relationships

A twitter post last night sparked an interesting discussion about intergenerational relationships. Here is my initial post. It was a quote from You Lost Me, by David Kinnaman.

If you lead a faith community, prioritize intergenerational relationships. ~ David Kinnaman

I was pleased to receive a response from David, author of You Lost Me.

RT : If you lead a faith community, prioritize intergenerational relationships. ~ David Kinnaman // how? Any ideas?

Here is my response to David.

: Any ideas?” / I think prioritizing intergenerational relationships begins with our leaders. They set the tone.

Here are two responses to David's question on how to prioritize intergenerational relationships.

create connection points. 4 older gen, teach them to disciple. 4younger gen, give them something 2 do of value.

Easy. Take generational segregation out of church structure. It's super simple, but not in the congregational DNA

What are your thoughts?
