My good friend Ron
Markloff observes that four qualities are needed for a successful turnaround.
They are humility, submission, teachability and flexibility. Why are these
preferred qualities in a turnaround process? They position us to be open to
innovations needed for a successful turnaround. Without humility we tend to be
arrogant and lack the patience needed to endure a turnaround effort. Without
submission we are not willing to listen to the input of others. Without
teachability we stop learning. Without flexibility we remain rigid and stuck in
unhealthy patterns.
